The Role:
As an Upholsterer, you will play a key role in producing high-quality mattresses, divans, headboards and upholstered bed products. Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring products are upholstered accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upholstering mattresses, divans, headboards and other bedding products to specification
- Fitting fabrics, foam, padding and coverings using hand tools and pneumatic equipment
- Measuring, cutting and preparing materials for production
- Operating upholstery tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensuring products meet quality standards and customer specifications
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across production departments
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Previous upholstery experience or experience within a furniture manufacturing environment
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong manual dexterity and practical skills
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desirable:
- Experience using pneumatic staplers, upholstery tools or industrial sewing equipment
- Previous experience manufacturing beds, mattresses, sofas or furniture products
