The job: based in an iconic venue on the Ayrshire coast, you will lead the delivery of weddings, conferences and events within one of Scotland's most prestigious 5-star resorts.
The person: An experienced hospitality leader with a passion for executing exceptional events, leading high-performing teams, and creating unforgettable guest experiences in a luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities in your new role as Conference and Banqueting Operations Manager:
- Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of weddings, conferences and events
- Leading and supporting the banqueting team throughout each event
- Liaising with clients, event planners, suppliers, and hotel departments
- Attending planning meetings and client briefings
- Coordinating room set-up, service, and event breakdown
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and VIP guests during events
- Delivering announcements and hosting events when required
- Managing and operating in-house AV equipment
- Maintaining function rooms, equipment, and storage areas to a high standard
- Handling last-minute requests and resolving issues professionally
- Ensuring exceptional customer service at every stage of the event
Your personality, experience and qualifications:
You'll be a confident leader with a passion for delivering exceptional events and customer service. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in banqueting, events, or hospitality management
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A hands-on, organised, and proactive approach
- The ability to perform well under pressure and solve problems quickly
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Good commercial awareness
- Confidence communicating with clients, guests and colleagues
- A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
