We are currently recruiting for a PM Shift Supervisor to join us at our Maidstone Depot. Our PM Shift, also known as Twilight, typically runs 14:00-22:00 depending on volumes, with full flexibility required to cover the operation.

Job Purpose: Our PM Shift Warehouse Supervisor is a key role working with our Day Shift Manager to ensure the smooth running of the day operation in our Depot, where you will lead teams of Loaders, Sorters, and Drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites into smaller geographic areas to be delivered to the final customer.

About the Role: You will be joining our business as a key member of the Depot Management team. Working under the Dayshift Manager, you will support your Depot by providing strong man-management to all front-line staff on your shift. You will supervise a mixed team of contracted and agency staff across our day shifts. This shift is key to our business as it is when we process the growing returns part of our business as well as parcels collected from our network of Parcel Shops. We are looking for like-minded professionals who can motivate, manage, and where necessary discipline a diverse workforce to get the best out of them.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 30 direct reports providing leadership and direction for the shift
  • Develop and train reports and ensure SLAs are hit for the day shift
  • Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations
  • Process BI and MI reports based on work output of Drivers and Loaders
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Management experience of leading and managing a team
  • Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines
  • Experience of managing teams in a fast-paced logistics environment is a definite advantage
  • PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • An understanding of Transport regulations
  • Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels
  • Flexible approach to work to meet business requirements
