Location: Aylesbury
Salary: £32,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, typically 6:30am - 3:30pm
Overtime: Paid at time and a half, regular overtime available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Driver to join a well-established and busy operation based in Aylesbury. This is a full-time, permanent position offering consistent work, regular routes and the opportunity to become part of a reliable and supportive team.
The role will involve multi-drop deliveries to a range of regular customers, with drivers typically completing around 12 drops per day, although routes can vary between 5 - 20 drops depending on the run. Drivers will quickly get to know both the routes and customer base, so strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
Delivery areas cover a wide region including Northampton, Bedford, Biggleswade, Stevenage, Watford/NW London, Epsom, Ashford, Guildford, Newbury, Oxford, Witney and Banbury. There are daily London routes involved, although these do not usually include Central London or W postcodes. All drivers must be comfortable covering London routes when required.
The client is looking for someone with a positive, helpful attitude who takes pride in providing excellent customer service. Some deliveries can be to busy or challenging sites, so professionalism, patience and a problem-solving approach are important. The ideal candidate will be flexible with finishing times, as regular overtime is available and drivers may occasionally work through until 5pm - 6pm when needed.
