Our client, a leading accountancy firm in Central London would like to recruit a Mixed Tax Assistant Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, deliver high-quality advisory work, and support colleagues within a supportive forward-thinking environment.

Working closely with leadership at the firm, you will handle a blend of personal and corporate tax matters, predominantly focusing on owner-managed businesses, SMEs and high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Portfolio Management: acting as primary point of contact for a portfolio of mixed tax clients, ensuring compliance and offering proactive tax planning
  • Compliance: prepare / review personal tax returns, corporation tax returns, P11Ds and ATED returns
  • Technical Research: conduct in-depth research on technical issues, prepare tax advice reports and handle HMRC enquiries
  • Client Development: identify opportunities to enhance tax service delivery and offer additional services to clients
  • Advisory Projects: assist Partners with ad-hoc tax advisory projects, including corporate restructuring, profit extraction, IHT planning, property transactions and SEIS/EIS

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience at a UK accountancy firm
  • Ideally be CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualified; ATT / ACA / ACCA qualified candidates with strong experience will also be considered
  • Have personal tax (private client) experience and ideally have had exposure to corporate tax
  • Have strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation
  • Live within a commutable distance of London
