We are recruiting an Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer for a major manufacturing site in Shotton. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of asset reliability, improve plant availability and reduce unplanned downtime within a fast-paced process environment.
The role:
- Work closely with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to develop a more proactive, data-led approach to asset care.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing risk-based preventative maintenance plans
- Completing asset condition, criticality and obsolescence surveys
- Maintaining an Asset Risk Register and delivering improvement plans
- Using RCA, FMEA and RCM techniques to improve reliability and MTBF
- Introducing and developing condition-monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography and lubrication analysis
- Planning and coordinating maintenance shutdowns and line outages
- Reviewing critical spares and improving inventory accuracy and availability
- Supporting capital projects with scopes, business cases and acceptance criteria
- Coaching operators in basic asset care and autonomous maintenance
- Ensuring all work meets required health, safety, quality and environmental standards
What we are looking for:
- HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- Practical engineering experience within manufacturing, process, production or another high-volume environment
- Working knowledge of reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA and RCM
- Experience of preventative maintenance, CMMS scheduling and condition monitoring
- Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to turn technical data into clear, practical maintenance actions
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
- A safety-focused and methodical approach
