CNC Vertical Borer Job Overview

  • Set, operate and program CNC Vertical Boring / Lathe machines
  • Program using Fanuc controls and Cimco CAD/CAM
  • Work from engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Machine medium to heavy workpieces
  • Self-inspect completed components
  • Work with materials including aluminium, stainless steel and super-duplex
  • Maintain quality and safety standards
  • Work overtime when required

CNC Vertical Borer Requirements

  • Proven CNC Vertical Borer / Vertical Lathe experience
  • Strong setting, operating and programming experience
  • Fanuc control experience
  • Experience with Cimco or similar CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience with medium/heavy engineering components
  • Strong quality and self-inspection skills
  • Experience working with a range of materials
