We are recruiting for an experienced Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in Ashford. Applicants must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, have previous servicing and repair experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. An MOT Tester Licence is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.

Job Details:

  • Location: Ashford
  • Salary: £36,182 basic + bonus, OTE £41,582 based on time saved and team profit
  • Hours: 40hr Week, Monday - Friday, No Weekends

Role:

  • Carry out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and complete mechanical repairs
  • Carry out warranty repairs to required standards
  • Complete work ranging from oil changes through to cambelt replacements
  • Conduct electronic Vehicle Health Checks
  • Complete digital job cards and workshop documentation accurately
  • Follow workshop processes and maintain high safety and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, such as IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic
  • Strong servicing, maintenance and mechanical repair skills
  • Experience with diagnostic and warranty work is advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team
  • Strong attention to process, safety and quality
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • MOT Tester Licence is desirable but not essential as training can be provided
