We are currently recruiting for an experienced supervisor to join our clients team.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Supervising teams in daily activities
- Co-ordinating daily working groups and workloads
- Prioritising taskings
- Carrying out relevant administrative tasks to ensure the successful running of operational teams and processes
- Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
- Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility whilst remaining compliant with manual handling procedures and health and safety legislation
- Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested
- Working with our on-site partners to support the inspection process
- Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
- Carrying out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives
- Maintaining the inspection environment following training
- COSHH Awareness following training
- Participating and completing required training and development relevant to role
- Championing a health and safety culture
The ideal candidate will have:
- Logistics experience in a large fast-moving environment
- Strong warehouse system experience
- A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
- Experience of working to agreed targets
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. loading, unloading vehicles
Conditions:
- Shift patterns will be Monday to Friday OR Saturdays and Sundays (both full-time and part-time available)
- Shifts are 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00
- Weekly or monthly pay available
- Flexible approach to working hours, including covering holidays and absence when required
- Pay rates £15.60 up to £25.75 overtime rate
To be eligible you need:
- NO unspent convictions and be able to pass a basic Criminal Record Check/Disclosure (DBS check)
- Ability to provide 3 years referencing contacts and have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years
- The right to work in the UK
