A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Amersham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team, with interviews taking place w/c 13th July 2026 ahead of a September 2026 start.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and associated learning difficulties
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group interventions tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of personalised learning programmes and EHCP targets
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Encouraging pupils' independence, confidence, communication, and emotional wellbeing
  • Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to observations, reviews, and support plans
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting, or a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
  • A calm, patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to helping every child reach their potential
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
  • An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive educational practice, or a willingness to undertake training
