Vanta Staffing is seeking Assembly Operatives to join our client in Amersham.
You will assemble a variety of components primarily for aircraft interiors, working with materials such as polycarbonate, metals, and composites, ensuring all products meet precise quality standards.
Full-time hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30 β 16:15, and Friday 07:30 β 12:30, including a 30-minute lunch and short morning and afternoon breaks each day.
Responsibilities
- Bond and assemble plastic aircraft interior parts including panels, meal trays, seat backs, literature pockets, and magazine racks.
- Follow work instructions and engineering drawings accurately.
- Achieve and surpass manufacturing targets.
- Prepare and assemble composite components.
- Repair and overhaul damaged plastic parts.
- Visually inspect and self-certify finished products to ensure quality.
- Undertake training and assist with other production and assembly duties as required.
- Actively contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Participate in daily and weekly SQCDP board meetings.
- Support team goals by delivering quality results.
Essential skills
- Ability to follow work instructions and interpret engineering drawings.
- Previous experience in component assembly.
- Experience in aerospace interiors assembly is advantageous.
- Competent in using machinery such as band saws, hand routers, drills, and hand tools.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Good hand-to-eye coordination.
