  • Traffic Clerk Holmewood, Chesterfield
  • Shifts: Days: 6:00am 6:00pm (4 days on, 4 days off)

Nights: 6:00pm 6:00am (4 nights on, 4 nights off) What you'll do Your job is to help keep the transport operation running smoothly by supporting drivers before and after their shifts.

Before drivers leave, you'll: Explain their delivery routes and instructions.

Give them the paperwork and fuel cards they need.

Check they have the correct safety clothing (PPE).

Make sure they report any vehicle defects.

Remind them to call the office if they are delayed.

For agency drivers, you'll also: Check their driving licence, Digi card and CPC card.

Record their start and finish times.

Ensure they download their tachograph card.

Complete agency timesheets correctly.

When drivers return, you'll: Check all deliveries have been completed.

Make sure delivery paperwork is fully completed and signed.

Scan and send proof of delivery (POD) documents to customers.

Collect and record the return of fuel cards.

General office duties: Keep driver and vehicle records up to date.

Enter information into the computer.

Report any vehicle defects or operational issues.

File paperwork.

Record pallet truck movements.

Work closely with planners, managers and drivers.
