Sibert Instruments is an established OEM that has been specializing in the design, manufacture and supply of high-precision industrial machinery to clients worldwide for over 40 years. We are expanding again and looking for a conscientious, detail-orientated Machine Cylindrical & Machine Surface Grinder to join our experienced and friendly team. Appropriate training will be provided as necessary.
The successful applicant will be responsible for machine finish grinding high precision tooling and components to meet micron tolerances from technical drawings. Reporting to the workshop manager, you will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of our team. The role will also include piece part inspection to a high level of consistency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operation of precision machines for internal and external grinding.
- Working from technical drawings to specified tolerances.
- Inspection of ground parts throughout the manufacturing process.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Open minded and thorough approach to detailed work.
- Any relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship would be welcome.
- Any machine grinding or manual machining experience would be an advantage.
We are more than willing to provide extensive training and guidance during the induction period. We are looking for the right mind-set, so if you haven't used a manual Cylindrical or Surface Grinding machine previously, relevant knowledge is equally valuable.

Hours: Mon - Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm (early finish on Friday possible)
