Brightwork are recruiting for an experienced Storeman and Forklift Driver for our established client in Cumbernauld.

This position is temporary and ongoing, with no set end date.

Your Time at Work Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, counterbalance trucks, pallet trucks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the facility.

Transport aerospace components, tooling, assemblies, and finished products between stores, production, and dispatch areas.

Conduct pre-use inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects or maintenance requirements.

Ensure all lifting and handling activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Handle high-value, delicate, and mission-critical components with care to prevent damage during transportation and storage.

Receive, inspect, and accurately book in raw materials, aerospace components, tooling, and parts, ensuring all deliveries match purchase orders, specifications, and quality requirements.

Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/MRP systems, conduct stock counts and audits, monitor stock levels, and ensure full material traceability.

Safely store, handle, and transport materials and components, operating forklifts and other lifting equipment in compliance with health and safety procedures.

Pick, pack, kit, and issue materials to production teams, ensuring manufacturing schedules and urgent operational requirements are supported.

Prepare and dispatch materials and finished goods, producing shipping documentation and coordinating with logistics providers as required.

Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, company procedures, audit requirements, and security protocols for controlled materials.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, reporting hazards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Perfect Worker Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, logistics, or materials control role.

Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defence, or high-technology environments preferred.

Good understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.

Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to read part numbers, technical documentation, and material specifications.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Knowledge of aerospace traceability and quality requirements would be advantageous.

Valid forklift truck licence (Counterbalance) required.

Demonstrable experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or warehouse environment.

Good understanding of safe lifting practices, load security, and warehouse safety procedures.

Ability to work confidently in busy production and stores environments while maintaining high safety standards.
