Join a passionate family-run vineyard in the heart of Essex, where tradition meets innovation. Nestled in the Crouch Valley, it’s a hidden gem for producing award-winning wines. What’s the Job? As an Assistant Vineyard supervisor, you’ll work closely with the Vineyard Manager, learning the art of vineyard management while using a fleet of high-quality vineyard tractors and mechanical attachments. You’ll be involved in every aspect of operations, from machinery maintenance to hands-on vineyard tasks such as planting and pruning etc. The current size is around 90 acres, but they contract additional land. Youll join and be able to play a key role in the expansion and growth of the business. What Do I Need? Ideally, you’ll have experience in vineyard work and machinery operation. PA1 and PA2 would be great, but if you haven’t had the chance to get this, we still want to hear from you as there is an opportunity for training and development. A strong attention to detail and a well-organised approach to record-keeping is essential for maintaining accurate spraying records and ensuring that operational standards are met. Flexibility to adapt to the seasonal demands of vineyard work, including the occasional weekend shift, will be important as we work to meet the changing needs of the vineyard year-round. What’s Next?
