We are currently looking to recruit 2 x experienced Production Operatives to work with a major market leader in their field in Newcastle upon Tyne. The company has been designing and manufacturing life-saving products for 25 years, protecting iconic buildings across the globe and the people within.

The role:

  • Due to high demand and the launch of new products, we’re looking for 2 x additional Production Operators to work within a busy manufacturing team.
  • You will be supporting the Production Department in all aspects of its operation (with training, movement between areas is actively encouraged in line with the needs of the business).
  • Operating soldering machines.
  • Assembly of small components.
  • Working to targets.
  • The company will provide full on-the-job training to get you up to speed and then ongoing support to help you achieve your targets.
  • Hours of work are 38 Monday to Thursday (no Friday working).

The person:

  • Must have some previous small component assembly experience.
  • Ideally have experience of machine soldering.
  • Be a great team player who works well both alone and with others.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, with good eyesight and dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Be reliable and able to demonstrate a flexible approach.
  • Have a keen willingness to learn and gain new skills.
  • We will provide full on-the-job training to get you up to speed and then ongoing support to help you achieve your targets.

Further information:

  • Temporary to permanent contract for the right person.
  • Current pay rate of £12.50 per hour with annual pay reviews.
