We are currently looking to recruit an experienced permanent Production Manager for an expanding company West of Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an exciting role in a time of expansion for the company.
The company is a UK-based company that manufactures, installs, and maintains industrial and specialist door systems. The company specializes in meeting the needs of clients in sectors across manufacturing, process, transport, storage, and logistics.
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with an engineering background for the efficient management, control, and systemisation of production of our specialist industrial doors. This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager to control, supervise and manage the manufacturing and production operations at the factory facility in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
- The Production Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of manufacturing and production processes, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating workflow, managing resources, supervising staff, and ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.
- The successful candidate will work with departments across the business, including metal fabrication, welding, PVC welding fabrication, electrical department assembling control panels and electrical systems, packing and delivery.
- As Production Manager, you will carry out a review of systems against best practice, increasing production output and meeting financial and quality targets.
- Production planning all associated documentation, generation, issue & control.
- Material requirements planning, purchasing & stock control.
- Quality system ISO 9001:2015 supervision, control, implementation and maintenance of all aspects.

The person:
- An experienced engineering background, HNC or HND as a minimum.
- Engineering qualification.
- Jobbing shop, metal fabrication and process experience.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacture system.
- Ability and experience in management and development of systems.
- A willingness to take responsibility, accept a challenge and get things done.
- Be hands on throughout the process.
- Commit to constant improvement.
- Computer literate.
