We are currently recruiting a skilled coded welder with current certifications to work within the fabrication team for a busy industrial customer in South Tyneside.

The Role:

  • Perform high quality welding work on various projects
  • Interpret fabrication drawings, weld procedure documentation and weld inspection procedures working closely with inspectors
  • Check that the drawing details on the weld procedures and preparations both match and are right for the job

The Person:

  • A time served apprenticeship or completion of a recognised training programme
  • Current welding certifications and experience in coded welding
  • Qualified to one of the following codes – BS EN ISO 9606, BS EN 287, OASME, AWS D1.1A
  • FCAW welding process qualification
  • Experience in coded welding, Butt and Fillet
  • Strong attention to details and quality
  • Problem solving, communication and team working skills
