The Role
As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for operating equipment, assembling products, maintaining quality standards, and supporting warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets.
- Assemble products and components accurately in line with work instructions and quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections and basic quality checks throughout the production process.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare finished goods for dispatch and storage.
- Support stock control activities, including replenishment, inventory tracking, and material movement.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report equipment faults, quality concerns, hazards, or production issues promptly.
- Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Complete production, assembly, picking, and packing tasks in line with daily schedules.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer and keyboard skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive, dependable, and proactive approach to work.
- Flexible attitude with a willingness to support business needs when required.
Desirable:
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
