The Role

As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for operating equipment, assembling products, maintaining quality standards, and supporting warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets.
  • Assemble products and components accurately in line with work instructions and quality standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare finished goods for dispatch and storage.
  • Support stock control activities, including replenishment, inventory tracking, and material movement.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Report equipment faults, quality concerns, hazards, or production issues promptly.
  • Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Complete production, assembly, picking, and packing tasks in line with daily schedules.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience within a production, manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer and keyboard skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Positive, dependable, and proactive approach to work.
  • Flexible attitude with a willingness to support business needs when required.

Desirable:

  • Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
