All Square Recruitment are hiring a Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a reputable company based in Maldon, Essex. Working within an established maintenance team, you will provide effective problem‑solving solutions to maintain facilities and ensure the production plant runs at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment.
  • Reactive Support: Perform fault finding and respond quickly to breakdown repairs and health and safety issues.
  • Facilities Care: Undertake general repairs to the building and site facilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support and execute continuous improvement plans.
  • Flexibility: Carry out reasonable alternative duties as required to ensure the efficient functioning of the company.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A recognised apprenticeship in an electrical, mechanical, or electro‑mechanical field.
  • Minimum of City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ equivalent, BTEC, or ONC.
  • BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring regulations.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a multi‑skilled industrial environment.
  • Strong fault‑finding skills across hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical circuits.

Key Competencies

  • Reliable, confident, and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised with a methodical approach and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Basic machining competencies.
  • Beginner‑level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).

Desirable Extras

  • IOSH safety qualification, MEWP licence, or FLT licence.
  • C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing.
  • TEXT LEV P601.

Shift Patterns & Hours

This is a “Double Day” shift role. All candidates must be flexible as patterns and break times may vary to meet production demands.

  • Early Shift Monday–Thursday: 06:00 – 15:00, Friday: 06:00 – 14:00
  • Late Shift Monday–Thursday: 13:00 – 22:00, Friday: 12:00 – 20:00
