We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join our high-precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing components according to strict production plans, while ensuring that every part meets exact drawing specifications and the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Set, Program & Operate: Manage CNC Milling machines hands‑on. This includes Doosan, Brothers, and Matzuura 5-axis centres.
- Technical Execution: Change and set tools, adjust offsets, and fine‑tune programs. These actions ensure peak performance across all batch sizes.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect first-off and in-process parts using precision measuring tools. This process guarantees accuracy against technical drawings and strict tolerances.
- Workflow Management: Follow route cards carefully. You will also maintain precise quality documentation and records.
- Departmental Support: Collaborate with the Milling Team Leader. Together, you will meet customer deadlines and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Technical Background: You have proven experience setting and operating CNC machines. We highly prefer experience with Nakamura and Citizen sliding heads.
- Blueprint Proficiency: You can interpret complex technical drawings fluently. You also possess skill with precision measuring equipment.
- Attention to Detail: We require a strong commitment to quality and "right-first-time" manufacturing.
- Organisation: You offer excellent record-keeping skills. You also work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.
