Warehouse Operative (Late Shift) – Temp to Perm

Location: Basildon

Salary: £29,215 per annum (£14.05 per hour)

Hours: 12:30 – 23:00 (40 hours per week)

Shift Pattern: 4-day working week (Rotating: 3 weeks Tuesday–Friday / 2 weeks Monday–Thursday)

What You Will Do

  • Loading & Unloading: You will safely handle incoming and outgoing stock, check for damages, and ensure correct storage.
  • Inventory Management: You will utilise operational systems to maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy stock records.
  • Maintaining Compliance: You will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure you complete all tasks safely and on time.
  • Driving Efficiency: You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to implement workflow improvements, helping to reduce cargo handling errors.
  • Equipment Operation: You will operate forklift trucks (where qualified) to assist with daily warehouse manoeuvres.

What We Are Looking For

  • While we prefer previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, it is not essential.
  • Licensing: A valid Forklift Licence is highly beneficial; however, we will provide full training for the right candidate.
  • Skills: You must possess excellent attention to detail with paperwork, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude.
  • Pre-screening: You must pass a standard DBS check and provide valid Right to Work documentation before starting.
