Field Service Engineer (Calibration) for a remote UK-wide role with travel to the UK and Europe. Salary: 30-55k base + benefits.
Join an R&D team as an experienced Field Service Engineer & Calibration Specialist in a world-leading manufacturer designing large machine parts and systems using robotics, hydraulics and pneumatics, supporting customers across the UK and Europe.
This role is suited to someone with a strong mechanical (bias) and electrical (desirable) background, or qualified electro-mechanical, mechatronics or electro-hydraulic systems who enjoys solving complex problems and working directly with customers on site.
Key Responsibilities- Perform calibration, testing, and certification to ensure performance compliance.
- Provide on-site service and commissioning for customer installations across the UK and Europe.
- Diagnose and repair faults, carry out maintenance, and install replacement parts.
- Support project teams during installations and act as the technical lead on customer sites.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver projects to a high standard and on time.
- Ensure all calibration tools and equipment are properly maintained and compliant.
- Experience in field service, calibration, or commissioning.
- HND/Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
- Background in mechanical (preferred), electro-mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
- Experience using diagnostic and calibration tools.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety in on-site environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Good IT skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally abroad (approx. 10%).
- Ongoing product and technical training.
