REMOTE – Home based Competitive + Strong Benefits Package ABJ7536 Job Description As an experienced Ecotoxicologist in the Science & Regulatory Team of a globally recognised company, you will play a key role in increasing company knowledge in ecotoxicology and supporting the implementation of a proactive environmental work programme. As a PhD-level ecotoxicologist, you will assist in designing and managing the ecotoxicology work programme to enhance understanding of the environmental fate and toxicity of substances. You will be expected to take on more responsibilities, address emerging environmental issues related to ecotoxicology, and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge expansion. Key Responsibilities Engage with stakeholders to promote scientifically robust regulatory policies that protect the environment and support market growth. Support the principal lead on scientific and regulatory issues related to environmental toxicology/ecotoxicology. Assist in managing the environmental toxicology research programme. Participate in internal meetings and industry groups such as MERA. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at scientific conferences like SETAC. Provide regular updates on environmental projects. Apply knowledge of EU REACH and EU CLP/GHS for technical input, project management, and chemical registration support globally. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience PhD in Environmental Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, or a related discipline. Relevant work experience in ecotoxicology, chemicals management, or environmental toxicology (preferred). Knowledge of metals ecotoxicology is desirable. Understanding of EU and global regulatory processes, especially REACH and CLP. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Excellent organizational and administrative abilities. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively with others. Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus. IT literacy and strong numeracy skills. Remote position with occasional travel within Europe and Southeast UK.
