Teaching Assistant - SEN in Stafford

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team. The role supports pupils across the school for 13 hours per week, initially on a temporary basis with potential for permanent appointment depending on organisational requirements. The TA works alongside the class teacher to support teaching and learning and ensures high standards of progress and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning within the classroom.
• Deliver planned interventions to individuals or small groups.
• Facilitate learning in a way that promotes increasing independence.
• Implement the school's behaviour policy to provide consistent support.
• Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils' progress and attainment.
• Assist in the preparation and creation of appropriate learning resources.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and their parents/carers.
• Engage children in short, focused, and purposeful learning activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience working with children with SEMH needs and those demonstrating low engagement in learning (advantage).
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Flexibility to work across all classes.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A kind, caring, and nurturing approach to children.
• High standard of professional conduct.
