The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
We are seeking to appoint caring, reliable and enthusiastic people to join our hard working, friendly and committed team of invigilators and student support assistants during our mock and external exams. The main period of work will be from May to July and further work in November/December and February/March may follow. There are morning and afternoon sessions between the hours of approximately 8:00am and 4:30pm available.
This position is at the forefront of our exams provision and would suit someone who thrives in a busy environment. No specific examination experience is necessary (training will be provided); however an understanding of the formality and importance of the examinations should be appreciated, e.g. exams are carried out according to the rules and conditions as set out by the applicable examination board.
Responsibilities
- Preparing exam rooms
- Distributing papers and stationery
- Advising candidates of exam conditions
- Observing students during the exam ensuring that all regulatory requirements are adhered to
- Assisting with collecting of scripts and tidying the exam room in readiness for the following session
- Those undertaking Reader responsibilities will read exam instructions and questions aloud, accurately and clearly
- Scribes produce accurate, verbatim transcripts of answers dictated by the student
