The Senior Finance Manager - Commercial Finance is a key business partner responsible for driving financial performance across AllSaints' core global channels. This role moves beyond standard accounting to provide deep commercial oversight of our Digital, Channel, Partner, and Distribution Centre (DC) P&Ls. You will be expected to challenge the status quo, identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks and find efficiencies in how we analyse and report on stock, sales, and margin.
Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, this is a line management role, responsible for the development and output of one Finance Analyst. The environment is fastāpaced, collaborative, and focused on transitioning from manual data production to highālevel commercial insight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial P&L Ownership: Manage the endātoāend commercial P&Ls for Digital, Channel, and Partner portfolios, working closely with accounting teams to challenge and understand monthāend actuals.
- Budgeting & Reforecasting: Support the annual budget and periodic reforecast process, ensuring all channelāspecific assumptions are robust and commercially grounded.
- Operational & DC Finance: Own the budgeting for Digital and B2B carriage costs, mastering the volume/rate drivers and modelling resource requirements for agency staff within our Distribution Centre.
- Reporting Transformation: Own weekly and monthly commercial reporting on stock, sales, and margin. Actively work with transformation and data science teams to improve outputs, reducing time spent on data 'churn' in favour of analysis.
- Strategic Support: Partner with Digital and Performance Marketing teams to challenge sales forecasts, margin assumptions, and ROAS targets by channel and market.
- Investment Appraisal: Support senior leadership with business casing and scenario modelling for new initiatives, appraising potential investments for profitability impact.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Postāqualified experience (PQE) in a commercial finance role, ideally within a fastāpaced Retail or FMCG environment.
- Qualifications: Must be ACA or CIMA qualified.
- Commercial Mindset: Ideally commercially minded with the ability to proactively challenge and understand the data in front of them to drive business performance.
- Efficiency Focused: A natural problemāsolver who dislikes manual data entry and is always looking for a 'better way' to get to the answer through automation and process improvement.
- Communication: Proven ability to translate complex commercial P&Ls and financial data into meaningful insights for nonāfinance stakeholders across the business.
