THE ROLE

We are looking for a passionate Digital Business Analyst to join the IT Team to help deliver an exciting digital roadmap. The Digital Business Analyst will have vision for the digital channels (including website and applications) and be able to clearly convey that vision to internal and external teams across the business – working very closely with the Senior Product Owner and Digital Team to define the future of the platforms.

Reporting into the Senior Digital Product Owner, you will manage the day to day communication with the Engineering teams. Delivering product features from design, build, and documentation. You will be inquisitive, detail-oriented, and flexible. You will scope out technical requirements, write user stories and help deliver the strategy for the digital channels.

A successful Digital Business Analyst needs to understand the customer experience to deliver what should be built on the website and applications.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING

As an E-commerce Business Analyst, you will work closely with IT and development teams to ensure that the website operates efficiently, meets business goals, and provides a seamless user experience. Your responsibilities in this area include:

  • Website Optimization: Identifying areas of improvement in site speed, navigation, search functionality, checkout processes, and mobile responsiveness.
  • A/B Testing and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Collaborating with developers to test different UI/UX changes (such as CTA placements, page layouts, or payment options) to improve conversion rates.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Working with IT teams to diagnose and resolve website bugs, broken links, downtime issues, or integration failures with third-party services.
  • Digital Development Team (Scrum) Meetings: Representing the AllSaints team in engineering ceremonies (daily stand ups, refinement meetings, sprint reviews).
  • Compliance and Security: Ensuring that the website complies with data privacy regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA) and that security protocols are in place to protect customer data.
  • E-commerce Platform Enhancements: Coordinating with developers on platform updates, third-party app integrations, and API improvements to ensure smooth operations.

Support the Implementation of New E-commerce Tools and Technologies to Enhance Business Efficiency. Staying competitive in the e-commerce industry requires leveraging the latest tools and technologies. As a Business Analyst, your role will involve:

  • Technology Evaluation: Researching and assessing new tools and platforms to improve operations and developing a thorough grasp of the AllSaints digital channels in order to respond to questions from internal stakeholders and suggest solutions to any issues.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with different teams (IT, CRM, Performance Marketing, Digital Experience, Customer Experience, Information Security) to define the requirements and benefits of new technology implementations.
  • Integration and Implementation: Coordinating with developers and vendors to integrate new software solutions with existing e-commerce platforms, CRM, and ERP systems.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking the impact of new tools and making data-driven recommendations for improvements or adjustments.
  • Training and Documentation: Creating user guides and training materials for internal teams to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies.

Document Business Requirements and Support the Implementation of System Enhancements and Process Improvements. Clear and effective documentation is essential for aligning business needs with technical execution. This responsibility includes:

  • Requirement Gathering: Conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys with stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points.
  • Business Process Mapping: Documenting existing workflows and identifying inefficiencies, redundancies, or bottlenecks in the e-commerce operation.
  • User Stories and Functional Specifications: Writing detailed user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for new system enhancements and features.
  • Collaboration with IT Teams: Working closely with developers, QA testers, and project managers to ensure that business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
  • Testing and Validation: Assisting in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation reviews to ensure smooth deployment of enhancements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly reviewing system performance and gathering feedback to iterate on improvements for a better e-commerce experience.
  • Release Notes: Documenting all development releases to share with the wider business.

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • A good understanding of digital shopper journeys – UX / UI desirable.
  • A good understanding of prioritisation and impact of changes in an e-commerce environment.
  • Knowledge of an ecommerce platform – ideally Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
