All Saints Medical Centre is a forward-thinking, dynamic and teaching practice who are always looking to improve the services. We teach GP registrars and Medical college students. We are looking for an enthusiastic and GP practice experienced Administrator to join our friendly practice team. The candidate will need to have a flexible working approach and have the ability to work with a wide range of professionals and patients.

Main duties of the job:

  • Dealing administrative tasks as requested by GP clinicians and Practice Manager
  • IT administration in EMIS web when required
  • Dealing with contractual requirements on QOF, IIF, CESEL, etc., (sharing the workload with GPA)
  • Repeat scripts printing
  • New patient Registration (Automated and manual)
  • Dealing with medical reports requests
  • Other back Office functionalities for the day-to-day needs of the practice (sharing the admin workload with another part-time administrator)

About us:

Our practice team comprises of GPs, GP registrars, Nurses, Administrators, Care Navigators, Practice Manager, GP Assistant and ARRS staff.

22.5 - 30 hours (3-4 days) per week to start with. Salary based on experience. 4 weeks annual leave excluding bank holidays. NHS pensions scheme.

In addition:

  • To maintain confidentiality at all times, follow strict health and safety guidelines of the practice
  • To support the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues
  • To participate in any training programme implemented by the practice as part of this employment within and outside premises

Job responsibilities:

  • To work as an IT administrator in EMIS Web and reporting to Practice Manager
  • Call and recalls for LTCs
  • Medical reports requests handling from patients, Insurance companies and other organisations
  • Processing and distributing incoming AccuRx Online requests (Total Triage)
  • Administrative Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the practice manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels
  • To work as a receptionist when required

Person Specification:

Experience of working as an administrator in EMIS web / its equivalent in a GP surgery. IT knowledge (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel).
