What the job involves
- Provide one-to-one support to a named secondary student, accompanying them to lessons
- Adapt learning materials as directed by teachers
- Encourage the student's active engagement in class and help them access the curriculum
- Promote the student's independence, dignity and wellbeing
- Foster a safe, positive learning environment that supports emotional and social development
- Provide respectful, discreet personal care and hygiene assistance
- Work with the SENCO, classroom teachers and external specialists to monitor progress and care plans
