Role Description
This is a full-time Occupational Therapist role based in Washington in a hybrid work model, combining on‑site client visits with some work‑from‑home flexibility. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include assessing clients’ functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence‑based interventions across home, community, and telehealth settings. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate closely with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support participation in self‑care, productivity, and leisure activities. Additional tasks include documenting assessments and progress notes, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate clinical records in line with regulatory and organizational standards. The role also involves educating clients and caregivers, contributing to service improvement initiatives, and participating in regular supervision and professional development.
Qualifications
- Current or eligible state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington, and a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated skills in client assessment, goal setting, intervention planning, and outcome evaluation within community or clinic-based settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build respectful, collaborative relationships with clients, families, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, maintain timely documentation, and work effectively in a hybrid environment (in-person and remote).
- Commitment to person-centered, strengths-based practice, with cultural humility and respect for clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfort with using electronic health records, telehealth platforms, and basic productivity tools (e.g., email, scheduling, documentation systems).
- Experience with pediatric, adult, or disability-focused Occupational Therapy is highly regarded; familiarity with community-based or home-based therapy is an advantage.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning, reflective practice, and supervision to support high-quality, ethical care.
