Take Home Rate: £5,125 per annum (based on 1 day per week, term-time only; salary is annualised and paid monthly).
This role is offered on a part-time, term-time basis (1 day per week), paid throughout school holidays, and may suit someone looking to build their hours over time as the service grows.

All Minds is a Scottish mental health charity that provides counselling and therapeutic services for children, young people, adults, and families. We provide counselling from our centres in Kirkintilloch and Falkirk, as well as in several schools across Scotland. All Minds is inclusive to everyone and open to anyone who needs the support we offer.
All Minds is seeking to recruit an exceptional, qualified counsellor on an employed basis for 1 day per week for a fixed term of 3 months, with the possibility of a further 3 month extension. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year\'s experience working with children and/or young people in a counselling setting.
Working hours are one day per week from 8.45am-3.45pm within a primary school in South Lanarkshire. The day of the week is flexible depending on candidate availability. This is an ideal position for someone wishing to complement their private practice, or other counselling role.
The successful applicant will be required to deliver counselling sessions within school settings and have own car for travel.
We aim to help children and young people develop the tools necessary to navigate through a range of difficult and complex experiences. Candidates must have a Diploma in counselling as a minimum, as well as at least 1 year\'s experience of counselling children/young people and a knowledge of child protection and confidentiality procedures.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one counselling sessions to school aged children and young people (5-12 years)
Carry out assessment interviews with new referrals and evaluate appropriate counselling methods
Liaise with parents and carers and school staff where appropriate
Develop and maintain adequate records of clinical work
Fulfil professional supervision requirements - supervision is included in-house by All Minds by one of our qualified clinical supervisors
Contribute to the evaluation of the service by using a range of clinical wellbeing, evaluation and measurement tools
Comply with all policies, procedures and service standards
Abide by All Minds\' Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures
Undertake relevant training to continue professional development
Keep informed of needs and issues that affect young people
Build healthy relationships with parents, school staff, as well as outside agencies and referral organisations
Excellent and proven organisational and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
Ability to manage own caseload
Ability to work on own initiative and be self-motivated
Demonstrate a sound sense of personal integrity and ethics
Collaborative working style and strong work ethic
PVG scheme member
Membership of an appropriate counselling organisation (BABCP, BACP, COSCA, PTUK or similar)
