We are seeking an experienced insurance Account Handler or hybrid Account Handler/Executive with a strong background in the UK Life Sciences sector. The successful candidate will support our Life Sciences team in delivering high-quality broking and client service across a portfolio of Life Sciences, Digital Health, and Corporate Healthcare clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide broking services for new business and renewals across Life Sciences, Corporate Healthcare and Digital Healthcare clients.
- Support the team with administration of new business, midâterm adjustments, and renewals.
- Liaise professionally with insurers, colleagues, and claims handlers to ensure smooth client servicing.
- Deliver a highâquality advisory service to clients, reviewing and arranging appropriate cover at competitive premiums.
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in all client and insurer interactions.
- Analyse and record customer demands and needs with precision.
- Stay informed of market developments in the UK, EU, and US Medical Devices sectors and share insights with clients and colleagues.
- Assist the Head of Life Sciences and wider team with general insurance administrative duties.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an Account Handler or Account Executive in the commercial insurance Life Sciences sector.
- Strong understanding of the UK Life Sciences landscape; knowledge of EU and US Medical Devices markets and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastâpaced, clientâfocused environment.
Experience needed
- Experience of Insurance requirements in the Life Science sector.
- Cert CII or working towards insurance qualifications preferred.
- Good experience within a salesâdriven environment.
- Comfortable working in a small team as well as on your own.
- Being a selfâstarter in respect of lead generation.
- Acturis user experience preferred.
- Good experience of various prospecting tools (i.e. Sales Navigator, LinkedIn etc).
