We are looking for a Systemic Family Therapist to be part of the ECHO team (Edge of Care - Home) in the Children and Families Directorate, Herefordshire. The ECHO team supports children and young people who are on the Edge of Care and children and young people who can be reunified with their birth parents after a period in care. The Systemic Family Therapist will be responsible for specialised systemic and family assessments and interventions for families with complex needs, alongside other approaches which meet the holistic needs of children, young people and their families.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic and an experienced systemic family therapist who will be able to work with our young people and their families and carers, alongside a multi‑disciplinary team of family support workers, substance misuse worker, domestic abuse worker and social workers.
Responsibilities:- Specialised systemic and family assessments and interventions for families with complex needs, alongside other approaches which meet the holistic needs of children, young people and their families.
- Provide specialist service to children, adolescents and their families/carers and networks of care.
- Support the development of systemic practice through consultation and training to colleagues, the multi‑disciplinary team and wider professional networks.
- Provide specialist systemic formulation and assessment.
- Provide initial assessments and duty rota support.
- Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.
- UKCP registered.
- Professional qualification in systemic family therapy.
- Dynamic and enthusiastic with experience in systemic family therapy.
- Motivation to apply systemic practice within diverse and highly complex family situations.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary network, including in family homes.
