This is an exciting opportunity to join our client, supporting a key period of transformation and improvement across the directorate, including adult social care. As a Delivery and Improvement Officer, you will play a vital role in coordinating delivery of the Community Wellbeing Transformation Strategy. Working across a range of programmes and projects, you will support planning, governance, reporting and continuous improvement activity. This role offers the chance to work at pace in a collaborative environment, engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to meaningful improvements in services that support residents across Herefordshire.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of transformation programmes and service improvement plans
- Coordinating project activity, including governance, reporting, risk management and documentation
- Working closely with Senior Responsible Officers to track progress and outcomes
- Developing reports, briefings and decision‑making documentation
- Engaging with stakeholders across services to drive continuous improvement
- Supporting workshops and meetings and programme communications
Qualifications
- You will bring experience of working in a fast‑paced project or programme environment, with strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of project management approaches and governance frameworks
- Experience supporting complex programmes or transformation activity
- Strong analytical, communication and reporting skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
- A proactive, collaborative and solution‑focused approach
- Experience within local government or adult social care would be highly advantageous.
