Job Purpose: To provide technical support for all critical infrastructure during planned and reactive tasks as part of the Data Centre Shift Team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and record preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis of critical plant and equipment.
- Monitor, maintain, investigate and acknowledge the BMS and SCADA systems.
- Document and support the corrective actions identified.
- Support and facilitate specialist subcontractors/vendors during planned, reactive or project tasks.
- Undertake daily site checks to note and proactively repair any defects and to maintain plant rooms in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
- Rectify and record defects through the helpdesk to ensure SLA timeframes are always met.
- Ensure compliance and elevate any issue that affects the availability, health and safety and security of the site.
- Adhere to all current company and Critical Engineering Management policies.
- Maintain water systems and records in accordance with L8 Legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Develop relationships with the client and assist nominated audit teams.
- Have a relevant technical qualification, ideally electrical bias (City & Guilds, Apprenticeship, HNC etc.).
- Working knowledge of generators, cooling systems and UPS systems.
- Experience working in Data Centres or other critical environments is advantageous but not essential.
- A good understanding of LV distribution systems.
- Able to organise and manage own workload.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Able to obtain and maintain a high level of security clearance.
