An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and enthusiastic level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to work all year round alongside our dedicated team at our new forest school Nursery in Maltby. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with the ability to manage and support the development of children in a nurturing environment. This role requires excellent communication skills in English and the ability to lead activities that promote learning and growth.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that stimulate children's development across various areas, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community within the nursery.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual learning needs.
  • Manage daily routines within the nursery, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
  • Uphold nursery policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Experience

  • A background in early childhood education or childcare is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide activities and support fellow practitioners effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 in child care or early years education, level 3 Forest school leader or willing to work towards.
