About the Role
As a Waking Night Care Assistant at Lion Oak Court, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents overnight. You will work as part of a dedicated on-site team providing reassurance, responding to emergencies, and delivering planned care throughout the night. Your role will focus on maintaining a calm and supportive environment, carrying out regular welfare checks, and being there when residents need you most.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care with dignity and respect during the night
- Carry out regular welfare checks to ensure resident safety and wellbeing
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide reassurance
- Support residents with mobility, toileting, and repositioning overnight
- Administer or assist with medication where required
- Maintain accurate records and complete night reports
- Promote independence and person-centred care
- Follow health & safety procedures, including moving and handling
- Work as part of a team to ensure safe, effective overnight care
