Job Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with Physio/Neuro-Physio in assessing and designing exercise programmes for clientele.
  • Assess new clients, gather all relevant information (medication, health conditions, current level of abilities etc.), setting appropriate goals and motivate clients to achieve them.
  • Follow safe protocol when inducting clients, correct use of equipment and individual exercises.
  • Update knowledge and records on the clients such as medication and any changes to their health conditions.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures, manual handling and safeguarding at all times and report any issues that may arise to the Gym manager.
  • Complete all mandatory training and any specific training if required.
  • Work within the gym and hydro area when required.
  • Ensure the gym and hydro is clean and free of health and safety hazards.
  • Provide advice to clients on health, nutrition and lifestyle changes.
  • Create and maintain positive, professional and trusting relationships with clientele.
  • Communicate with clients in a professional and correct manner.
  • Liaise and cooperate with colleagues on day to day basis, updates on relevant information on clients and events within the unit.
  • In the absence of the gym/hydro manager organise private clients appointments.
  • Before using hydrotherapy pool, communicate with water control officer to ensure safe levels before use.
  • In absence of water control officer run checks on hydro therapy pool for water stability, ensuring safe levels of chlorine and PH Levels-temperature.
  • Adhere to cleaning procedures as indicated on notice board in the gym and in folder in the hydro pool.
