Gym Instructor / Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist About the Role We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Gym Instructor / Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist to join our specialist rehabilitation team supporting individuals living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and other neurological conditions. The successful candidate will deliver safe, effective and engaging exercise sessions within our gym and hydrotherapy pool environments. Working Hours 9:00am to 2:00pm. Essential Qualifications • Level 3 Gym Instructor / Personal Trainer qualification or equivalent. Key Responsibilities • Deliver individualised exercise programmes in the gym and hydrotherapy pool. Personal Care Responsibilities • Assist with mobility and transfers. Person Specification The successful candidate will be passionate about helping individuals achieve their potential and willing to undertake specialist rehabilitation training. They should demonstrate empathy, enthusiasm, motivation and commitment, communicate effectively, and work positively within a small multidisciplinary team.
• Level 3 Exercise Referral (GP Referral) qualification.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Work alongside physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals.
• Support clients with traumatic brain injuries and neurological conditions.
• Set realistic, person-centred goals.
• Progress sessions using safe and realistic intensities.
• Monitor and record progress.
• Develop strength, cardiovascular fitness, mobility and independence.
• Support clients with changing for hydrotherapy sessions.
• Provide personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Follow individual care plans and policies.
