About the Role
As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care and companionship to clients in the comfort of their own homes. You will live alongside your client, supporting them with daily activities, personal care, and emotional wellbeing, helping them maintain independence and dignity.
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming) in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Assist with mobility, medication reminders, and health monitoring.
- Prepare nutritious meals and support with feeding if required.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, or outings.
- Maintain accurate daily records and report any concerns to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
Warm, empathetic, and patient nature. Good communication and listening skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to different home environments. Respect for privacy, dignity, and cultural preferences. Reliability and trustworthiness.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (advantageous).
- Basic first aid and manual handling training (preferred).
