All Building Control is an established and forward-thinking Registered Building Control Approver based in London. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate/Trainee Registered Building Inspector to join our supportive team in Oval.

About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to develop the technical knowledge and practical experience required to become a competent Registered Building Inspector. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will support building regulation plan assessments, attend site inspections, maintain project records and liaise with clients and construction professionals. You will receive structured training and mentoring while working towards Registered Building Inspector status.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with reviewing Building Regulations applications
- Develop knowledge of the Building Regulations and Approved Documents
- Help identify compliance issues and prepare technical comments
- Support the preparation of statutory documentation
- Accompany experienced inspectors on site visits
- Learn how to assess building work for regulatory compliance
- Record inspection findings and assist with reports
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Respond to client enquiries professionally
- Liaise with architects, contractors, developers and other stakeholders
- Attend technical meetings and training sessions
- Maintain CPD records and work towards professional registration
- Develop knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Operational Standards Rules and relevant professional standards
What We're Looking For
You will need:
- A degree, or expected degree, in Building Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture or another construction-related subject
- A strong interest in Building Control and Building Regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills
Desirable Experience
It would be beneficial if you also have:
- Construction or Building Control placement experience
- Some knowledge of Building Regulations or construction methods
- A full UK driving licence, or are currently working towards one
