Primary Role

  • Develop and manage the strategic category agenda and relationships to deliver the budgeted KPIs in your brand and customer portfolio.
  • Own and manage the consumer and category agenda internally (use and share insight to influence).
  • Build insight and knowledge from all data and insight sources.
  • Build the annual category strategy for your customers and brands.
  • Create and deliver a category agenda to set the 1-3-5 year direction for your AAF brand portfolio.
  • Own and manage the strategic customer category relationship.
  • Support brands with innovation plans.
  • Build a trusted partnership.
  • Own and manage the AAF category agenda with the brand owner.
  • Own and manage your data partners within the category CI budget.
  • Deliver broad and comprehensive data and insight within the CI budget.
  • Ensure AAF is at the forefront of insight and thinking.
  • Make sure all internal and external admin is carried out on time, accurately and in full.
  • Monthly performance reporting.
  • Category insight brochures.
  • Eyes and ears reports.
  • 12 week reviews and post-implementation reviews.
  • Category data budget management.
  • Promotional analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrate a consultative selling approach through knowledge of customer, shopper and consumer utilising the communication skills training provided. This includes customer and brand owner meetings and Brand Days.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with data systems such as Kantar, Circana & Retailer databases.
  • Ability to present and build compelling narratives.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • An interest in following new trends in the food & drink industry.

Experience

  • Preferred: Category or data analysis experience, ideally with a FMCG background.
  • Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships.
