We are a family-run business that offers specialist system installation services to the construction industry, specifically working in the new build housing sector. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager on a full-time basis to support the Operations Manager with managing projects from acceptance of order to handover stage. Reporting to the MD, the successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for taking ownership of multiple projects and the coordination and management required to successfully deliver them on time and within budget.
- Managing projects from acceptance of order to handover stage
- Creating technical drawings such as system schematics, elevations, and plan drawings using our StarDraw Design 7 software
- Creating job packs for the installation engineers
- Completing site surveys to liaise with our clients' project managers
- Coordinating and scheduling engineering resources in line with project timelines and deadlines using our Gantic Global Diary
- Attending site throughout the installation process to assist the engineers with any technical issues
- Creating and managing progress trackers for live projects
- Providing system handover and training to clients
- Creating handover documentation including Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Signal Record Registers, etc.
- Liaising with Sales to create and submit a Service & Maintenance contract on completion of projects
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):
- Delivering projects on or under budget
- Experience with SimPRO software
- Experience with StarDraw software
- Experience working in a similar Project Management or Project Engineer position
- Experience within the new build Construction and Security Industry
- Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and other basic computing functions
- CSCS or ECS Card
- SSSTS and/or SMSTS
- Prince2 or Agile Qualification
- Career progression from installation engineer
Future Developments and Opportunities:
Training and supervision would be provided, but it is expected that the successful candidate would continually increase their market and technical competence on their own initiative. This is a full-time position based out of our office in Perivale UB6. Working hours are 7am-4pm Monday to Friday. Benefits include:
