Responsible for leading the Engineering function and delivering world class engineering standards, maintenance processes and procedures to the Rainford operation. Must drive continuous improvement (CI) and utilise world class maintenance practices in support of meeting financial, business and leadership developmental goals. Ensure (in conjunction with the Plant Manager and site SHE Manager) that all engineering work is designed, procured and delivered in a safe, controlled and lawful manner, compliant with all relevant legislation. Fully support and comply with company HSE and Quality Policies.

Develop and implement a maintenance strategy that meets the needs of business through measurement and analysis of the sites performance, in conjunction with manufacturer’s recommendations. Ensuring the operational delivery of the engineering budget and reporting against established KPI’s. Aligning the strategy of Process Engineering to fulfil improvement activities. Identifying, providing and facilitating solutions to engineering and technical problems. Managing the development of technical strategies, documents, contracts, processes and specifications to ensure quality, consistency and efficiency in all technical engineering activities. Managing the periodic shutdown of plant equipment liaising and controlling contractors and sub-contractors and procurement of spares and materials. Ensuring compliance with engineering legislation (e.g. LOLER, Legionella, Pressure Vessels, Fixed Installation Testing, PAT, F gas, Gas regs).

Taking responsibility for managing revenue and capital projects as and when required. Bachelor’s degree (B. or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. Candidates with a combination of Electrical Engineering and other relevant fields will also be considered. Formal TPM, Six Sigma, WCM, TPS or Lean training related to world class maintenance processes is a necessity with relevant experience of successful implementation and management of an engineering function. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
