Overview
Warehouse operative responsible for ensuring PPE compliance, safety, and the accurate handling of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
Supports stock management, dispatch activities, and continuous improvement within the warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all PPE requirements are followed for warehouse activities and report any hazards.
- Maintain housekeeping and health and safety standards within the warehouse.
- Perform goods receipt activities for raw materials and incoming goods using SAP, including palletising and correct storage according to warehouse instructions and policies (Widnes Automotive Grade Fibre).
- Complete dispatch activities, prepare shipment picking lists in coordination with the logistics office, and liaise with Widnes dispatch to load the correct fibre for distribution from Holywell.
- Ensure all dispatches leave the site with correct identification, packaging, and quantities in line with quality and compliance checks; report any non-conformances.
- Maintain stock recording, checking, and counting to support management of raw materials, packaging, production consumables, PPE, and engineering support items, maintaining minimum stock levels.
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with reconciling raw materials and finished goods stock through regular and ad hoc stock checks as requested by Logistics or Finance (purchasing).
- Support production teams in maintaining supply of stock, ensuring space is used and occupied correctly.
- Participate in continuous improvement of team activities and ways of working (e. g., site improvement, housekeeping, new boxes) to meet standard requirements.
- Support the Warehouse Supervisor in reviewing complaints related to packaging or other warehouse activities to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Ensure the security of all warehousing areas and correct waste disposal/removal in compliance with Environment Agency standards.
