Job Requirements:
The Field Service Engineer provides engineering, technical service, field inspections and customer support for the sale of Industrial Filtration products. This position will travel to end users and provide full inspections and provide solutions to customers. Will provide customers technical reports including recommendations, maintenance, and needed repairs of equipment to operate more efficiently. Support Industrial Filtration sales engineers in efforts to grow the end-user market.
Responsibilities:
- Visit potential customers by providing inspections of pollution control equipment.
- Provide written reports on findings, maintenance recommendations and solutions to any outstanding operational issues.
- Work closely with sales engineers and the AE team to win bag/cage opportunities by providing technical services.
- Visit customer sites and oversee the installation and start-up of filter bag/cage projects.
- Provide and coordinate any additional technical services, including used bag analysis, leak detection, etc.
- Maintain strong positive relationships with end users/customers for existing and future opportunities.
- Collaborate in a team approach with employees across multiple functions and departments, including Customer Service, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, New Product Development, and R&D.
- Attend trade shows as required to provide technical assistance to potential customers.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- Engineering degree or even a Diploma in a relevant field can be considered.
- Self-motivated, competent in personal time and strong project management skills are expected.
- Proven technical and critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Three to five years of experience working with OEMs, end users of pollution control equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service and sales skills.
- Travel Requirement: 30–60% travel is expected.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
