What You’ll Do

  • Join the Company Advisory and Interim Management team in London as a Director with a track record of delivering results in financial restructuring situations.
  • Operate on UK-based and international engagements, contributing to AlixPartners’ reputation for driving positive change and leading engagements in a hands-on, professional and energetic manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues worldwide and promote the firm’s broader capabilities; contribute to business development and commercially successful engagements.

What You’ll Need

  • Relevant and hands-on project management experience in financial and/or operational restructuring gained in restructuring advisory, Big 4, private equity, banking, or industry.
  • University degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., Accounting).
  • Experience in debtor-side distressed situations, including: company-side financial advisory roles; managing senior stakeholders (including ad-hoc lending groups, shareholders and boards) through distressed situations; liquidity management; distressed M&A; operational turnarounds/restructuring; business plan development and modelling; hands-on support for financial teams including treasury and FP&A support.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong financial analysis with understanding of financial statements; ability to build integrated three-statement models from scratch.
  • Experience in building and reviewing 13-week cash flows and managing liquidity; ability to develop and review business plans and models.
  • Proven track record of managing senior stakeholders and other advisers; ability to supervise professionals and motivate teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including senior stakeholder interactions (board meetings, management committee meetings) and client communications with clarity and confidence.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to build client and peer relationships; fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours and to work in an office and remote environment.
