TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER SCIENTIST

Alive Dx is recruiting for a Technology Transfer Scientist to join the Manufacturing Technical Implementation team based in Penicuik, Scotland.

The role is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday with flexible working arrangements where applicable.

As a Technology Transfer Scientist, you will play a key role in bridging Research & Development and Manufacturing, ensuring the successful transfer of new products, processes and technologies into routine manufacturing.

Working cross-functionally, you will lead technology transfer activities, support validation programmes and ensure manufacturing processes are implemented efficiently while meeting GMP and regulatory requirements.

YOUR MISSION

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Leading technology transfer projects for new products, manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Planning, coordinating and driving technology transfer activities with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Developing and presenting technology transfer strategies and project plans.

Leading the preparation and execution of validation batches and providing technical guidance to the relevant teams.

  • Creating and managing GMP documentation including manufacturing protocols, validation protocols, process maps, final product specifications and BMR's.
  • Analysing process data and quality control results to support successful process implementation.
  • Managing Non-Conformances, CAPAs and Change Controls associated with technology transfer activities.
  • Reporting project progress against agreed timelines while ensuring effective communication across departments.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to new manufacturing-based projects.
  • YOUR COMPETENCIES
  • A degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or a related scientific discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience working within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device environment.
  • Knowledge in Blood Grouping Reagents, products and processes
  • Experience in process development, manufacturing technical support or technology transfer.
  • Excellent project planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
