AliveDx is recruiting a Production Scientist to join our Haematology team based near Edinburgh. The role is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career across multiple areas of the business. The successful candidate will initially gain exposure within our Research & Development function, supporting the development of new products, before moving into Technical Transfer activities and ultimately becoming a subject matter expert within our Manufacturing team. This role offers the opportunity to build technical knowledge, work cross-functionally and plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality Haematology products to customers.
YOUR MISSION
- Supporting the development of new Haematology products and contributing to technical transfer activities into Manufacturing.
- Monitoring departmental outputs, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements where required.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and Six Sigma projects.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support development projects, manufacturing objectives, and operational excellence.
- Providing technical and scientific guidance to manufacturing teams, including troubleshooting and supporting customer complaint investigations.
- Ensuring manufacturing activities are carried out in compliance with GMP, GDP, Regulatory, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, audit readiness, and equipment compliance within the department.
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Experience working in a scientific laboratory or GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GMP, GDP, and quality compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Motivated, accountable, and committed to delivering high-quality work right first time.
- IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with biological materials and regulated manufacturing processes is desirable.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S and Six Sigma is advantageous.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is beneficial.
